14th Scottish Days in Wuppertal on August 30 th and31st, 2025
It's almost that time again, the Scottish Days at the Bundeshöhe in Wuppertal are entering their 14th round. A family event around Scotland awaits you. Do not miss.
On Saturday we start with the pipe competition for grade 5 (beginners), grade 4 (advanced 1) and the quintet (3 pipers + 2 drummers).
There will be demonstrations of our historic Scots throughout the day. There you can find out how the Scots used to live, how they dressed and of course how they fought.
In the evening it gets really “Celtic” again on stage.
On Sunday it starts with a church service.
Then there is the big parade of clans and teams, which leads through the area and finally ends on the "battlefield" with the opening of the Highland Games.
The various Highland Games competitions take place on the battlefield throughout the day. Carried out by the Paradise Punks
The Irish dance group “Bon(n) Roses” will also perform on stage.
During the entire weekend there are also many other great attractions surrounding the action on the "battlefield".
For example, we have a very nice clan village in which real Scottish clans and their representatives in Germany introduce themselves. There is a historic Scottish camp, many stalls with Scottish/British offerings. Such as handmade jewelry and fashion, kilts, bagpipe accessories, British sweets and much more. There are also delicacies from the grill, good music, a children's bouncy castle and all sorts of other things to discover.
It starts at 11:00 a.m. Saturday with the PipeCompetition and Sunday with the Team Highland Games
